The Green River Grotto Established in 1979, the Green River Grotto is a National Speleological Society affiliated caving group based in south-central Kentucky. We meet monthly in the Environmental Science and Technologies Building (EST, Room 337) on the campus of Western Kentucky University.

It's called Cockpit Country. About a hour's drive or so from Montego Bay in Jamaica , Cockpit Country is a combination of limestone forests, remote cliffs, cascading waterfalls and mysterious caves.

I currently have 130 patches in my collection, I know it's small by some standards but, it's a start.

At Green Grotto you can tour a limestone cave complete with stalactites and stalagmites and a tiny underground lake. The Pirates Hideaway nightclub inside the cave is frequently the venue for entertainments that would put even the roistering buccaneers to shame.

Green Grotto Caves are famous for its many speleothems which give the impression of a complex labyrinth as the visitor descends down through the cave to the Green Lake. Here, 36m below surface the visitor goes on a boat ride.
Location The Caves are in Discovery Bay , Saint Ann History At various times they have been known as the Runaway Bay Caves, Hopewell Caves, Cave Hall Caves, Discovery Bay Caves, Dry Harbour Caves, Rum Caves and Dairy Caves, The first know inhabitants of the caves were Arawak Indians . When Jamaica was a British Colony the caves were used as a hideaway by the Spanish who were being driven out by the British settlers.

Well, I probably shouldn’t be saying “victory” yet… But, I am DONE! I just finished the test. I haven’t even gone back to my room yet, but I decided to blog since I didn’t have time yesterday.  After devotion yesterday morning there was a terrible discovery. Almost ALL of the creatures that we had been keeping in our wet lab died overnight. It has been really windy here, and I guess that a lot of debris got caught in the filter that brings fresh sea water into the lab. The water must have stopped pumping sometime during the night, killing almost everything. Dr.
