Olympic Softball Is in Serious Trouble Posted Feb 28th 2008 11:17PM by Pat Lackey Filed under: Olympics , Women's Sports , USA If there's one sport that it's a kiss of death to be associated with, it's probably baseball with its steroid scandal drawing the attention of Congress and dragging several stars' names through the mud. Being associated with baseball seems to be the precise problem facing the sport of softball (or more accurately, their governing body, the ISF), which was voted out of the Olympics along with baseball in 2005 and is now facing a long road back into the games.
