This year’s theme is bamboo and its place in Filipino life, art and crafts. Just this weekend in Davao a lecture on bamboo was delivered by Professor Felipe de Leon followed by an exhibit of bamboo sculpture by the late Jose Patinio, the Philippines’ foremost bamboo sculptor.
